  11. Tax Assistance: AARP Tax-Aide

    AARP Tax-Aide will be offering free tax-preparation assistance at the library. This is the nation's largest free, volunteer-run tax service available to taxpayers with low- and moderate- income, with special attention to those ages 60 and older. Social Security Cards or other official SSA documentation, for yourself and all dependents, are required to receive these services. First-come, first-served.

    Kearney Works is a non-profit organization that helps the unemployed and underemployed residents of Buffalo County improve their labor skills and guides them through the process of finding better, high-paying jobs in the area. In addition to their Kearney office location at 16 West 11th Street, Kearney Works will be providing free assistance at the library each Monday afternoon on a first-come, first-served basis. Salem Sciences lets you explore, online, those topics found in several print science resources. The Science and Technology Collection's online resources include academic journals, books, magazines, trade publications and more.
