The City of Kearney announces the availability of an online survey to assist the City and planning consultant, Miller & Associates; with the prioritization of neighborhood revitalization activities within the City. The City has received grant funding through a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program to conduct a review of various neighborhoods (pre-determined by federally-delineated boundaries) within the City. Results of the survey, along with the City’s recently adopted Comprehensive Plan and Housing Study, will provide community input data to formulate community development initiatives. In addition to the survey, community members will be invited to public input meetings, which will be held in mid-July, to further engage the community in the drafting of a Revitalization Plan to prepare the City to apply for future funding opportunities.
The web address for the survey is https://kwiksurveys.com/s/jFFBgRbm and can be completed by anyone currently residing within the City of Kearney. Please contact Eric Hellriegel, Assistant Park & Recreation Director, at 308-233-3230 or firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions regarding the online survey or CDBG grant program.
