Kearney Public Library is pleased to announce the acquisition of MUZZY: the BBC Language Course for Children. MUZZY, the award-winning, multimedia language course created by the BBC is designed in accordance with National Foreign Language Teaching Standards. Level One and Level Two language courses are available in the following languages: Spanish, French, German, Italian, English (ESL/ELL), Chinese Mandarin, Russian and Portuguese (Brazil). MUZZY presents functional language in context, the natural immersion method, proven to be the most effective means of language acquisition – without the stress that comes with drills and memorization. The MUZZY courses were purchased with 2011 Keno Grant funding.
