Kearney Public Library will sponsor two nationally known storytellers as part of the 2012 Kearney Storytelling Festival. Due to construction at Kearney Public Library, the tellers will be presenting at the Harmon Activity Center in Harmon Park.
Please join us on Tuesday, January 17, at 7:00 p.m. as Andy Offutt Irwin returns to present Stories for Families. With a manic Silly Putty voice, astonishing mouth noises, and hilarious stories, he is equal parts mischievous schoolboy and the Marx Brothers, peppered with a touch of the Southern balladeer. Also, on Friday, January 20, at 10:00 a.m., Suzi Whaples will present Stories for Families with preschool children. The stories she tells are almost all her own experiences and creations. Enjoying her Appalachian heritage will make you treasure your own roots.
Once again, due to construction at Kearney Public Library, the tellers will be presenting at the Harmon Activity Center located at 3100 5th Avenue. As always, we welcome people of all ages to attend both programs free of charge.
