Kearney Public Library will be offering a course in basic computer skills, covering the fundamentals of computer use. Topics will include using a mouse and keyboard, opening and closing programs, saving files, using the internet, using Windows 7, and more. The four-week class will meet from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. on April 17, April 24, May 1, and May 8. The class on May 8 will be optional, reserved for those needing additional assistance.
Register by calling the TLC Desk at (308) 233-3612. Registration deadline is April 16. Patrons must have a library card in good standing to register. Patrons familiar with using a computer for simple processes like using a mouse, opening and closing programs, will already know the information included in this class. Classes targeted at more specific computer topics will be announced at a later date.
