City of Kearney Park & Recreation is accepting registrations for the Puppy Plunge to be held at the Centennial Pool on Sunday, August 12. Small dogs (under 30 lbs.) are invited to be in the pool from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. and large dogs (30 lbs. & over) get the pool from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. The cost is $8 per dog, per time.
Pre-registration is required at the Kearney Park & Recreation office, 2005 1st Avenue, or by calling (308) 237-4644. Current vaccination records will be required the day of the event to allow entry into the pool. Proceeds benefit the Kearney Area Animal Shelter and the Kearney Dog Park.
