Kearney Public Library shines the Spotlight On! Trails and Rails Museum. Join Executive Director, Jennifer Murrish on Tuesday, June 25 at 7:00 p.m. for the latest news from the Trails and Rails Museum. The museum is owned and operated by the Buffalo County Historical Society which recently made an exciting announcement about the future of the museum.
Although people think of museums as dusty places filled with artifacts, the society is transforming Trails and Rails into an institution that serves people the way they live now. Half-marathon and ghost hunting events bring new people to the museum. Wild Science Thursdays keep kids learning during the summers, and all the society's events are geared toward family fun and learning. In the last decade, the board has transformed the society into a progressive, often-used, fun and educational asset to the entire county. Please join us to learn about the next step in this transformation, everyone is welcome! Kearney Public Library is located at 2020 1st Avenue.
