[ARCHIVED] Korean War 60th Anniversary Commemoration Display

Kearney Public Library is pleased to host a special display to honor the service and sacrifice of Korean War Veterans and to commemorate the key phases of the war. This year will mark the 60th Anniversary of the Korean War Armistice. Celebrations are planned in Washington D.C. including a keynote address by President Obama to veterans at the Korean War memorial.

You can get a sense of the Korean War by visiting a special commemorative display at the Kearney Public Library. It includes a time line of the war, books, photographs and artifacts from the war. If you are veteran, thank you! If you know a veteran, take a moment to thank them for their service. Please take a few moments to view the commemorative display.

If you have stories to share for the display please contact, Christine Walsh, 308-233-3283 or e-mail at
