[ARCHIVED] Family Fishing Day at Yanney Park Heritage Day

A Free Family Fishing Day will be conducted at Yanney Park on Saturday, June 7, from 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. A Cabela’s and Nebraska Game & Parks goodie bag will be given to the first 300 kids. Lunch will also be provided to the first 300 people by the Kearney Optimist Club. Check-in will be done at Rademacher’s Shelter on the west end of the lake.

Nebraska Game and Parks Commission and Kearney Park and Recreation Staff will be on site to assist participants. A limited amount of equipment will be available to borrow, so participants are encouraged to bring their own gear if possible. All adults, age 16 and older, need a 2014 fishing license if they wish to fish at this event. Pre-registration is not required.

Please contact the Park and Recreation Department at 308-237-4644 for more information.
