Kearney Public Library will be offering the following computer classes in September: Computer Basics and Internet Basics. Computer Basics will introduce participants to using a computer. Topics will include: using a mouse and keyboard, opening and closing programs, program menus, moving between programs, and more. Internet Basics will provide a basic introduction on using the internet. Topics will include: using different web browsers, clicking links, entering web addresses, searching, internet safety, and more. Both classes will be taught in two sessions. Participants must be able to attend both class sessions. Class times are as follows:
• Computer Basics: Tuesday, September 2 and Thursday, September 4 from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. Participants must be able to attend both class sessions.
• Internet Basics: Wednesdays, September 17 and 24 from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. Participants must be able to attend both class sessions.
Register by calling the TLC Desk at (308) 233-3612, or by signing up in the computer lab. Patrons must have a library card in good standing to attend computer classes. There is a limit of 15 participants for each class.
