Kearney Public Library will be offering computer classes on Microsoft Excel and Gmail during the month of October. The Microsoft Excel class will discuss the basics of using Microsoft Excel to create a personal budget. Topics will include: creating spreadsheets and workbooks, formatting cells, entering basic formulas, and other basic functions of Excel. The Gmail class will discuss the basics of setting up and using a Gmail email account. Topics will include: sending an email, attaching files, managing your inbox, adding contacts, and more. Class times are as follows:
• Microsoft Excel: Wednesday, October 15 from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. or Thursday, October 30 from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. Please sign up for only one of these identical class sessions.
• Gmail: Tuesday, October 21 from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m.
Register by calling the TLC Desk at (308) 233-3612, or by signing up in the computer lab. Patrons must have a library card in good standing to attend computer classes. There is a limit of 15 participants for each class.
