Beginning February 1, AARP will be offering free tax-filing assistance at two Kearney locations. There are no income, age, or forms restrictions in order to receive this free assistance. Please bring your social security cards, photo ID, and all tax documents, including a copy of last year’s tax return, all W-2s and 1099s, and a list of all deductible items. Below are the dates and times by location:
• Mondays from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Peterson Senior Activity Center at 2020 West 11th Street, Kearney, NE. The dates are February 1, 8, 22, 29, March 7, 14, 21, 28, and April 4, 11.
• Thursdays from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Kearney Public Library at 2020 1st Avenue, Kearney, NE. The dates are February 4, 11, 18, 25, March 3, 10, 17, 24, 31, and April 7, 14.
