The story of the British Army on the Western Front during WWI is waiting to be discovered in 1.5 million pages of unit war diaries. You can help reveal the stories of those who fought in this war. Library staff will be in Kearney Public Library’s computer classroom on the lower level June 3, 10, 17, 24 and July 8 at 2:00 p.m. to show you how to read through the digitized war diaries and look for and tag information relating to the identity of soldiers, casualties, unit operations, and more. The National Archives and the Imperial War Museums will then use this information to enrich their WWI collections. Class size is limited to 15 with registration required by June 1. The class is free and open to adults. Stop by the Library or call 308-233-3282 or 308-233-3256 to register.
