Peter Sarpy (aka: a living-history presenter dressed in period costume) will share Nebraska’s 150 years of history like you’ve never heard it before. Mr. Sarpy, a mid-1800s operator of several fur-trading posts and owner of a thriving ferry business, will describe the transformation of Nebraska from a French colony to statehood in the format of an interactive one-act play using humor and factual historical anecdotes. All ages are welcome to attend this free program on Monday, June 5 at 6:30 p.m. at the Kearney Public Library. Funding, in part, is provided by Humanities Nebraska. No registration required.
