Few children in Tanzania are fortunate enough to have a backpack to carry a pencil and small notebook for school. Having even a simple fabric bag is a luxury. This summer, we will be sewing book bags for this great cause. Come and try the library’s sewing machines with this simple project – perfect for beginners! At the end of the summer bags will be mailed to Tanzania for distribution to the children. All materials will be provided. Each session is limited to four participants. Registration is required at least two days in advance. For ages 14 and up.
