[ARCHIVED] Kearney Public Library Adds Two Databases

The Kearney Public Library has added Books and Authors and Small Engine Repair Reference Center as two new databases to the services provided by the Reference Department. Books and Authors offers new ways to explore the endless possibilities and combinations of books, authors, genres, and topics. This readers’ advisory database combines over 140,000 titles, 50,000 authors, and thousands of read-alike, award-winner, and librarians’ favorites lists.

Small Engine Repair Reference Center contains repair and maintenance information for ATVs, commercial mowers, tractors, generators, motorcycles, boats, outdoor power equipment, personal watercraft, snowblowers, snowmobiles, tillers, and other small engines. Content contained in the database is derived from the full set of small engine repair manuals from Clymer, which provides step-by-step procedures based upon the complete disassembly of the machine.

Both of these new databases are accessible in the Library as well as remotely, using a library-provided password. The Library’s website is www.kearneylib.org. Click on Reference and Research Databases to access these new databases, as well as over 20 other databases.

The Reference Librarian will provide one-on-one assistance for any of the Library’s databases. For more information or to obtain the password for remote access, either stop in or call the Kearney Public Library Reference Desk at (308) 233-3256.
