[ARCHIVED] Click It or Ticket

The Kearney Police Department has been awarded a grant from the Nebraska Office of Highway Safety for the “Click It or Ticket” enforcement wave. This selective enforcement will be conducted from November 23-27, 2009. Officers will be out in force, cracking down on drivers who fail to buckle up and fail to buckle up children. A pre-wave survey conducted during the week of November 2-9 by the Kearney Police Department found that on average only 47% of drivers buckle up while operating their vehicles.

As always, the Kearney Police Department is requesting that you wear your seat belt and buckle up children as required by Nebraska State Law. This campaign will run through the Thanksgiving holiday in response to the high number of vehicles traveling for the holiday weekend.
