Technology Learning Center

Kearney Public Library provides a Technology Learning Center to support its mission of equal access to information and the pursuit of lifelong learning. All patrons using the TLC and Makerspace must abide by the Computer and Internet Access Policy and Patron Behavior Policy

TLC Computer Lab

The TLC computer Lab consists of 21 workstations, one of which is an ADA workstation. The lab opens when the library opens and closes 15 minutes before the library closes. Library staff cannot provide in-depth training concerning the internet or computer programs. Staff will assist with basic services.

TLC Classroom

The TLC classroom shares a room with the TLC Makerspace. The classroom consists of seven regular workstations.  All computers have internet access and Microsoft Office software. The classroom includes a projector and screen that can be used for presentations.

  • The classroom portion of the room may be reserved at the discretion of the Technology Librarian.
  • Reservations may be made to use the TLC classroom for non-profit purposes. The classroom may be reserved only for purposes that necessitate the use of technology.
  • Reservations may be made using the same stipulations and policies found in the Meeting Room Policy.
  • Kearney Public Library or City of Kearney use takes first priority over outside reservations.
  • Groups reserving the TLC classroom are responsible for any damage that is done to library equipment during the reserved time period.
