Placing Holds
You can place a hold on an item online and the library will notify you when it is available for pick-up.
Search for the item you are wanting to read in the catalog. Look carefully to select the format you want (book, audio CD, downloadable, etc.) Click on the blue "Place Hold" button next to the item you’d like to put on hold. Using this method, you will receive the first available copy of an item if there are multiple copies. You will be asked to choose a pickup location, either the Kearney Public Library or the Buffalo County Bookmobile. You will be contacted when your item is ready for you.
If you are wanting a specific copy of an item (i.e. Season 3, discs 3 & 4 of a television series,) please click on the text that says, "Request this copy" next to the specific item you need.
If you have any questions, please call the main desk at 308-233-3282.
