The Downtown Rehabilitation Grant Program is designed to encourage renovation and preservation efforts for downtown buildings. This program has been developed to assist business owners, property owners, and developers whom wish to reinvest into their properties in the Downtown District. Property owners may request funds to address various improvements, including but not limited to HVAC, fire sprinklers, electrical upgrades, facade improvements, energy efficiency upgrades, and other eligible renovation costs.
The City of Kearney’s 2026 Downtown Rehabilitation Grant Funding application cycle is now open. Please download the application document here. Applications are due March 31, 2026.
